Bill Holter’s Commentary

First Russia announced hypersonic weapons, now China. As Bill, Jim, and Dave asked yesterday on the recorded call for subscribers, “if the dollar has been supported by the military, what are the ramifications if that military is usurped?” Now we have to ask that very question again…

China’s Hypersonic Weapons Could Sink US Aircraft Carriers, Pentagon Official Says
March 6, 2018

The era of the American aircraft carrier as the premier embodiment of military might could be ending unless the U.S. develops defenses for the next generation of highly maneuverable, super-fast hypersonic weapons under development by Russia and China, the Pentagon’s top weapons researcher said Tuesday.

Michael Griffin, undersecretary of defense for research and engineering, said China is spending billions to develop a non-nuclear version of the weapons that could render U.S. aircraft carriers vulnerable to attack.

“In round numbers, China has done 20 times as many of hypersonic weapons tests as has the United States over the last decade,” Griffin told the annual McAleese-Credit Suisse Defense Conference.

China in particular, he said, has set itself on a course to become a global power and America’s primary adversary.

The $233 Trillion Dollar Dark Cloud of Global Debt
March 10, 2018

Global debt has reached record heights without any signs of relief. While central bankers try to explain away the phenomenon of these out-of-control numbers, it’s not much of a mystery. Immediate consumption with the promise of repayment sometime in the future has consequences. Global debt is staggering to the point most of it will never be repaid. Certainly not in our generation. Perhaps by our grandchildren, but as global debt keeps mounting, the picture is doubtful.

The per capita global debt is $30,000. Who, exactly, will be making repayments?

Economists insist that the 2007 financial crisis could not have been predicted. Yet, all the signs of out-of-control credit where there. Today, economists are repeating the same mantra, despite the spiraling world debt. The question is not if the next bubble will strike. It’s a matter of when.

Rigged? NYFed Slams Study Showing Alleged Collusion Between Fed, Banks Around FOMC Meetings
March 11, 2018

Back in 2015, we detailed a study by researchers at Duke University and the University of California at Berkeley pointing to quantitative evidence that The Fed consistently leaks non-public information about its meetings.

The study, first reported by The Daily Californian, considers historical patterns in stock prices relative to the distribution of non-public Fed information. “The Fed uses ‘informal communication channels’ on even-numbered weeks after FOMC meetings,” the report said, pointing to leaks making it into media stories such as the Wall Street Journal as well as showing up in private financial advice.

To support their claims, researchers point to private advice received by financial investors and news reports that contained non-public information discussed in FOMC meetings. “The informal communication can steer market expectations by engaging with private forecasters and newsletters that influence market inference of current and future policy,” the report stated, citing the goal of managing market expectations. “Informal communication facilitates learning by the Fed from the financial sector about how the Fed’s assessment of the economy compares to that of the financial sector and about how markets are likely to react to a particular policy decision.”

The next great deception and turning of peoples attention will be “They are here,” Spooky Moulder was right. They are of course, but what a great media play.

Footage Of Mysterious Object Above Ocean Stuns Military Personnel
March 10, 2018

Newly-released video of a mysterious object streaking over the Atlantic Ocean shows the Pentagon needs to take UFOs seriously, a researcher says.

The sensational two-minute clip captured by a camera aboard a US Navy F/A 18 jet flying at 25,000 feet wowed military personnel.

“What the f— is that thing?” shouted the pilot in the video posted online by the To the Stars Academy of Arts and Science, a private research company.

“Oh my gosh dude!” exclaimed the jet’s weapons systems officer.
